Kenya: UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial executions concludes fact-finding mission to Kenya

On 25 February 2009, the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial executions, Professor Philip Alston, concluded his 10 day fact-finding mission to Kenya. He found that killings by police in Kenya were “systematic, widespread and carefully planned”.

He issued a press statement in Nairobi, detailing his preliminary findings and recommendations, as well as a short press release. Both can be found below.
